New Hours Announced

In an effort to be more accessible to its customers, C & V has expanded their office hours. New office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:00. Office Manager Claudia Wesner advised, “Maintaining full-time accessiblity will allow customers to drop in throughout the day to meet with our sales reps or to see our many displays in the new show room. We are even open during the lunch hour!” In addition to this expanded schedule, C & V staff are available by appointment during the evening and on Saturdays.

C&V Expands to Great Bend

New showroom unveiled! C & V has moved all operations to 2407 10th Street in Great Bend, Kansas (know to many as the former Enterprise Communication building). President, Matt Hoisington said, “This move will allow us to increase our visibility and create top of mind awareness for those interested in improving their home. This new location gives us a nice billboard on one of the highest traffic areas in central Kansas.” The new location also includes an expanded show room where many of the C & V products are on display. C & V Techs Now “Lead Safe Work Practice” Certified!

On April 14, C & V technicians and installers earned their Lead Safe Work Practice certification by completing training provided by the Kansas Building Institute Workers Compensation Fund. The federal Environmental Protection Agency and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment now have strict new guidelines for any contractor working on homes built prior to 1978. Recent studies show that air-born lead paint particles may contribute to dyslexia, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and liver damage later in life. By adhering to these new renovation standards, C & V will ensure that all work is performed in a manor to protect the health of your family! Ask your contractor to show you their LSWP certificate!

C & V Selected as Contractor for KWAP

On April 13th, C & V Home Improvement, Inc., was one of a handful of contractors selected to provide weatherization services for qualifying families as part of Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program. As a KWAP contractor, C & V partners with Interfaith Housing Services (www.ihs-housing.org) to assist residents in making their homes more efficient; thus lower their monthly utility costs. The program is quite simple…homeowners and renters apply for KWAP services. Once eligibility is determined, an IHS energy auditor will conduct a series of test to determine inefficiencies and make recommended improvements. IHS then contracts with C & V to make the necessary repairs. Typical work includes replacing broken windows, insulating walls and attics, weatherstripping around doors and plumbing chases, insulating and installing a vapor barrior in crawl spaces, and sealing foundation cracks and voids.
